In ocean freight shipping, goods are packed in shipping containers, the freight forwarder books the space or container with the slip agent, cargo is shifted to the shipping vessel at the port of origin and shipped overseas to the importer at the port of destination. LCL services are used with smaller volume shipments to keep costs at a minimum. Cargo is delivered to the nearest “Gateway” and consolidated in containers which are then shipped using the benefits of our contract rates.
FCL shipment will be loaded and sealed at origin by your supplier or the manufacturer, then shipped by a combination of ocean, road or/and rail to your final destination. We have contracts with all major shipping lines and consolidators, which allows us to offer competitive pricing on weekly shipping services. Shipping rates are typically lower for FCL than LCL, making this the most economical choice for large loads.
